Job Title: Webmaster
Responsibilities:
Define web application architecture& and over all site structure Establishing policies and procedures for publishing web pages and applications Update web pages to ensure site accuracy and currency Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing web applications and websites Work with database administrator to design, develop, and update databases Perform periodic website and web application audit Monitor and report on website traffic and performance Oversee website development projects, including intranets and internets Identify, recommend and prioritises new web application features in conjunction with business leaders and Managing Editor, Online Develop, code, install, test, debug and document web application using appropriate editors and tools Register web servers and sites with domain name services and hosting providers Ensure security of all web sites and related applications.
Personal Attributes: Good understanding of the Organisation’s goal and objectives Proactive in profiling practical solutions in a timely manner Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines Willingness and ability to take the initiative Team player Attention to detail
Requirements: First degree in related discipline Diploma in computer programming and Web application development from recognized institution Working knowledge of VB.Net, Java, ASP, PHP, and Database administration are key to this position Minimum of 3 years’ experience in programming and software development using structured methodologies
