Hope Builders International Consult Ltd came into existent in 2009 with the sole aim of offering Consultancy services to government and private organizations in education, economic development, staff recruitment, business development and entrepreneurship. Two years later, the aim shifted, the objectives of the company were re-written with a completely new focus on youth development. The consulting firm became a nonprofit organization building leaders, strengthening the lives and sharpening the skills of young people.The organization has developed a training curriculum that is focused on leadership, self discovery and life planning. Hope Builders now partners with institutions of higher learning in Nigeria to reach out to young people with entrepreneurial training at the same time helping to establish entrepreneurial centres in the various universities and polytechnics they have reached. In the last four years, Hope Builders has trained over 6000 young people on job creation in four Universities, four Polytechnics, and two colleges of education in Northern Nigeria. 200 business enterprises have been established through this venture. Over 500 young people have been employed to work in these business enterprises. In order to introduce the younger kids to entrepreneurship, Hope builders International is now establishing enterprise clubs in secondary schools. At the moment, the organization has 7 full time staff and 21 volunteers. However, Hope Builders has never receive any grant since inception. Its budget is solely within the annual income of the founder. This at the moment is one of the limiting factors to our growth.

Job Description

We do not charge our student for participation in our programme and the programme depend on the consultancy fees and other professional service fees obtained by the founder. It is becoming difficult to pay office accommodation rent, It is not possible to add staff members due to the work expansion because there is no sufficient funds. We need someone that can write/edit our financial proposals and budgets, and forward them on to agencies that are likely to yield results. We need a volunteer that can also advice us on spending and saving. This person wiill work on creating a fundraising plan that will fit the morals of our company, but also help expand our work. They will help us be more strategic about our budget so that our organization cant thrive. They will help us to present grant proposals and engage with larger organizations. They will also plan local fundraising events to mobilize the community to support our efforts.

Desired Skills and Experience
Fluency in English is a must. The volunteer must be experience in fundraising, marketing, creating grant proposals or a related field. Creativity around funding is a priority. He or she must be a strategic thinker and good at problem solver. This person must have strong ethical fiber.
