The Tansian University, Umunya, Anambra State, is a private University established in May 2007 to be a Private University of Choice. The mission of the Institution therefore is to pursue excellence, efficiency and effectiveness in teaching knowledgeable and skillful students who on graduation would be relevant in the workplace as well as resolve societal problems thereby impacting positively on national development.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to the post of Vice-Chancellor, Tansian University, Umunya, Anambra State. Nigeria.

The Candidate
The Vice-chancellor shall, in relation to the University, take precedence before all other members of the University except, the Chancellor and, the Pro- Chancellor or any other person acting as Chairman of the Governing Council of the University. Subject to certain sections of the University Law, he or she shall have the general function, in addition to any other functions, of directing the activities of the University, and shall, be the Chief Executive and academic officer of the University and Chairman of the University Senate.

Applicants must, therefore, have to their credit a considerable degree of knowledge of how a University is organized and administered. The University would therefore be interested in a candidate with team spirit and who is innovative, pro-active and who should be able to provide the Management with appropriate and realizable advice needed for proper administration of the University

Qualifications and Experience
The candidate, retired or in active service, must be a Professor with a PhD degree from any recognized University. He/She must also have the capacity for academic and administrative leadership.

Salary and Conditions of Service
In addition to attractive and negotiable remuneration and other conditions of service, the University Vice-chancellor shall be entitled to Chauffeur-driven car, Accommodation shall be provided when the University moves to its permanent site.
