The American University of Nigeria, Yola, is seeking a Permanent Aluminium Technician. This position is a local one open to indigenous and/or legal residents of Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Aluminium Technician

Location: Yola

Job Description The position will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining aluminium doors, windows, roofs and other fixtures in all the University buildings. Installs door handles, locks, suspended ceilings and other fixtures. Assembling of aluminium materials and fixing of window blind.

Requirements

Minimum of Secondary School Education  and acceptable Experience and Training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position Must be a minimum of 21 years of age Must also be available to work flexible hours. Ability to read and interpret drawings Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Ability to establish effective professional relationships with co-workers, and upper level staff Ability to prepare concise and accurate records and reports Ability to work with glass and aluminium Have knowledge of safety practices and principles related to maintenance activities Must possess strength, stamina and willingness to perform work in all weather conditions.Other requirements, abilities for the position:
Ability to work in a team. Demonstrate sound work ethic. Analytical and problem solving skills. Hard working. Ability to use various hand and power tools. Obey standard operating procedures.
