CHC has an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Manager for our Nigerian operations. It will be a resident position based in Port Harcourt .

They will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the maintenance activities within the operation Nigeria to ensure delivery of levels of technical performance required to meet operational needs, while ensuring the safety of business and maintenance standards / procedures are followed throughout.

responsibilities:
Direct, coordinate and report maintenance activity Nigeria to ensure that the performance objectives of the operational service are met in the most efficient and effective manner .
Act as focal point for all maintenance Nigeria by providing a coordinated management of available resources .
Hold and serve as director of the NCAA appointed to the position of incumbent maintenance AOC .
Provide effective maintenance service of the Managing Director of Nigeria to ensure that expectations are managed maintenance , understood and delivered.
Manage the organization of maintenance planning and Nigeria in conjunction with Heli -One as regards procedures for joint planning .
Liaise with H1 , Group Technical Standards CSC Support Center Maintenance (CSM) , fleet and other internal and external stakeholders need to ensure that all support solutions are explored and effectively delivered .
The operation of Nigeria is supplied with qualified service personnel to meet contract for flight while continuously tracking numbers to ensure support solution is both effective and appropriate to ensure safe practices and profitability .
Ensure compliance with processes and procedures maintenance company .
Requirements Ensure personal interview skills and training are fully supported to meet the needs of the business and regulatory compliance.
Where appropriate, represent the management team of Nigeria Union wages , litigation and other negotiations to promote a positive relationship work-force/management while ensuring clarity in the position of the company.
Actively develop and build the capacity and efficiency of the maintenance team of Nigeria through support , communication, information and managing individual performance .
Members appointed and ensure effective succession plans are in place for key positions within the area of ??responsibility
Act as a direct report for all senior engineers Basic (ESFS ) and other staff of Nigeria under the direct line of responsibility.
Provide expert advice and briefings to the elements and Nigeria business customers as needed.
Deputize for the Regional Maintenance Manager AEA as needed.
International travel may be required.
May perform other duties as assigned .

Qualifications and experience:
Qualified aircraft maintenance engineer (AME) with airframe and powerplant ratings
A minimum of 5 years experience in an appropriate level of management in the aviation environment
The experience of minimum 3 years now helicopters medium and heavy multi-
Demonstrated ability to lead maintenance teams in a difficult environment support
Demonstrated personnel management in an operational environment similar sized experience
A thorough understanding of key business drivers and how they may relate to the performance of the company
Proven ability to negotiate with external organizations such as regulators and key suppliers
Effective communicator , operationally driven , highly credible with strong interpersonal skills
Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and national partners in connection with the role
Strong planning, project management and organization
Speaking fluent written and spoken English
