The Administrator will be responsible for managing the non-academic activities at the school and the coordination of office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate effectiveness and efficiency.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Manage clerical, administrative and secretarial responsibilities and tasks for the school’s officeEvaluate and manage janitorial staff performanceDesign and implement filing systems and ensure filing systems are maintained and currentEstablish procedures for financial and other record keeping and ensure that financial information is properly tracked and documentedManage payroll and ensure that staff salaries are paid on time every monthLiaise with financial institution partnersEnsure security, integrity and confidentiality of dataEnsure the implementation of office policies and proceduresOversee adherence to office policies and proceduresPayment of suppliers on timeEnsure compliance with PAYE, Withholding Tax, Pension payments, NSITFEnter data onto Quick BooksPreparation of bank reconciliationsImplement procedural and policy changes to improve operational efficiencyMonitor and maintain office supplies inventoryReview and approve office supply acquisitionsHandle all non-academic parent inquiriesMaintain a safe and secure school environmentReport to the School Committee on a monthly basisWork closely with the Head Teacher to ensure that the school runs efficiently

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited tertiary educational institutionProven track record of administrative and supervisory experienceKnowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices and proceduresKnowledge of clerical practices and proceduresKnowledge of human resources management practices and proceduresKnowledge of business and management principlesIntermediate-level computer skills and knowledge of office software packages

The Head Teacher will be responsible for creating academic policies using the British Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, managing all teaching staff, developing the curriculum, and overseeing the school’s daily operations.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Monitor and support instructional activities, participate in and provide staff development, have deep knowledge of British curriculum and standards, evaluate and guide the instructional practices of teachersCollaborate with teachers to plan instructional activities and lessons, which promote developmentally appropriate student learningOversee and formally evaluate the curriculum and the instruction of the teaching staffCommunicate the vision of the school to all stakeholders, be an active listener, maintain cooperative professional relationships, provide opportunities for two way communication between school and parent communityProcure and organize all instructional equipment and suppliesProvide leadership and management of faculty and staff - recruit, hire, train and evaluate all staff members, motivate, and provide a positive work environmentHandle all academic parent inquiries with professionalism and confidenceReport to the School Committee on a monthly basis without encouraging the need for micromanagementWork closely with the Administrator to ensure that the school runs efficientlyPromote the positive image of the preschool


Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree in early childhood education with a specific understanding of the British curriculum Early Years Foundation Stage (required)A Master's degree in early childhood education or education administration (preferred)Minimum of 5 years of experience working for a nursery school teaching the British curriculumExperience in education management is strongly preferred
