Data Centre Coordinator

Job Description

Manage projects for the local data centre.Responsible for local site data centre infrastructure.Develop and maintain data centre policies and procedures.Coordinate with the local data centre infrastructure manager for infrastructure and facility related projects and issues that arise.Responsible for capacity planning including monthly, quarterly and annual metric reports.Implementation and maintenance of the data centre infrastructure and monitoring systems.Maintain all data center floor plans and layoutsWork with other departments to provide necessary information or solutionsIdentify and rectify potential risk items, areas of weakness in current or planned infrastructureCoordinate with all local trades and contractors onsite for works related to the data centreAdditional tasks as assigned by the Data Centre Infrastructure Manager or Director, Data Center Infrastructure and Facilities

Job Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in associated field is required.Minimum of 3 years' experience in data centre infrastructure and operations.Good knowledge of Microsoft applications - excel and other facility software (CAD is a bonus)The ability to spot problematic areas, analyze solutions, propose resolutions and direct their implementation is essential.Candidates must have a strong written and oral communication skills, project management skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.Candidate must be a motivated self-starter with an aptitude for learning new skills and environments quickly while multi-tasking on more than one deliverable.Must be available to travel if required
