As the MD / GM, you will report to the Board of Directors and your key responsibilities will include:
Finalizing business strategy, launch plan and marketing/sales plansAll general management efforts related to the new product line launchInciting, fulfilling and managing consumer demand and selling channelsDeveloping and maximizing sales, market share, profit & growth goalsManaging external partners for all cross-functional areas including marketing (PR, promotions, etc), sales (retailers, distributors, etc), product development (designers, formulators, etc), production (co-packers, ingredient suppliers, etc) and logistics (warehousing, transportation, etc)Owning the P&LIdentifying, evaluating and driving new products, channels & initiatives to maximize brand & market opportunitiesBuilding a teamAbout You
Self-starting leader who excels and thrives in high-growth, roll-up-your-sleeve entrepreneurial environment (i.e. need to have a start-up mentality – which doesn’t necessarily mean direct start-up experience, it means that you yearn to be a leader in building this type of company)Passionate about consumer products and building a consumer brand and experienced in doing so, ideally with food/beverage brandsPossess unique ability and desire to think and execute in both a strategic and tactical way. No job is too big and no job is too small but all will need to be done by you (of course you will build out the team over time)Experienced in launching a new consumer brand or productResults oriented, but not at the expense of people; people oriented but not at the expense of resultsUnderstands capital efficient means of consumer and trade marketing and driving retail sell-throughStrong analytical practitioner and equally strong creative mindsetSound understanding of operations, marketing, sales and customer serviceA team player who understands the importance of relationships and collaboration, both internally and externallyExcellent organization and prioritization skillsAbility to self-motivate and to motive othersDemonstrated ability to lead multiple parties across functionsDesires to build a company with strong, people focused valuesQualification
