The successful incumbent will act as a consultant for the construction supervision of a water supply and distribution system project. He / she will act as the key interface between consultant, contractors, clients and funding agencies
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Provide construction management and contract administration servicesWorking as part of the construction team, responsibilities include: support to the contract manager and Project Managers during pre-construction / construction phases to final handover of project to the Operations team.Monitor correspondence and contracts throughout the projects ensuring compliance and timeous submission of reports, notices etc.,
Requirements
Degree in Civil engineering / construction ManagementMinimum 10 years’ professional post-graduation experience with experience in design, construction supervision and contract administrationExcellent understanding of FIDIC construction contractsMust have professional experience in developing countries (Africa preferably)Must have been involved in at least two water supply projects in developing countriesMust come from a consulting backgroundExcellent written and oral communications skillsMust be capable of managing internal and external resources
Contractual information
18 – 24 month contractResidential in Nigeria with travel between citiesFamily of single status
