DESCRIPTION
Our Client, a Fast Moving Consumer Goods Company that has been operating in Nigeria for over 40 years seeks to fill the position of a Purlin Line Senior Technician / Foreman
Primary Job:
Be able to supervise, manage the Z Purlin production operation
Job Description:
1. Perform the production of Purlins on the machines
2. Supervise a team of 15 people so that production targets are met
3. Be able to set the machine to correct the Quality problems arising
4. Maintain records of Production, stoppages on the machines and report to Production incharge
5. Co-ordinate with Slitting section and Material Handling section for timely removal of Finished goods
6. Communicate the requirement of Slit sizes to slitting section
7. Perform Weight check of the product
8. Resolve any disputed and disciplinary issues on shop floor
9. Control absenteeism of workmen on shop floor
10. Train the operators on machine setting
11. Plan and execute the machine maintenance requirements
12. Should be willing to work on Sundays if the need arises
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications & Experience
1. Preferably a literate person, who can take instructions in English. Technical degree like any vocational training , diploma would be an added advantage
2. Possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience on Purlin production
3. Should have managed or worked on a Purlin / continuous metal forming line for 3-5 years
4. Hands on experience is essential
5. In case of a higher skilled person a higher salary may be considered
