Construction Manager - Assistant
Reporting to: Construction Manager
Purpose/Role:
To have ensure a seamless work flow between Engineering designs / drawings and Construction.Key Aims and Objectives:
· Monitor and Appraise construction work in the specific area assigned to ensure consistency with Engineering Drawings, Design specification, Owner Standards, safe work practices and applicable codes.
Prime Responsibilities and Duties:
· Report to Niger dock Project Management Team & Client on daily project status
· Monitor and Appraise construction work in the specific area assigned to ensure consistency with Engineering Drawings, Design specification, Owner Standards, safe work practices and applicable codes.
· Daily Interfaces with project construction manager, project construction superintendent s, fabrication workshop team, work pack team, Engineering team, QA/QC team, Project management team ,Client’s representatives & the project team.
· Review and Endorsement of Weekly summary of the work plan with the Planning & fabrication team.
· To review the Engineering Drawings & Ensure that the materials in the material requisition vouchers are available for the work are in place before issuing the work pack.
· Implement & Plan the construction phase execution strategies, resource planning, personnel monitoring & oversight programs.
· Ensure that required QA/QC Plans & Systems are in place & that adequate staff are assigned to project.
· To ensure effective work pack & project closeout.
