This is an expat position, offering and excellent NET package, working on a 6/2 rotation

As an Engineering Manager you be responsible for planning, managing and overseeing the Engineering Department.

Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager include;

·         Planning and strategising engineering requirements for the engineering division, as well as individual projects

·         Providing technical leadership to the engineering department

GM - Fabrication (Nigerdock)

An excellent career opportunity for a highly experienced General Manager (Fabrication) to handle all Fabrication activities at Nigerdock.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that resources, manpower and skills are in place to deliver project requirements safely, on time, within budget and to the desired quality standard.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to the fabrication group.
• Generate and implement training and development programme for Nigerian team members. 
• Ensure that the fabrication engineering division runs as an integrated part of Nigerdock’s business 
• Development of strategies and plans for growth and operational enhancements
• Ensure that the Fabrication division organisation is competent and appropriately organised to meet the business needs.
• Ensure that the Fabrication division has appropriate quality management processes, procedures and work methods, standing instructions etc. and at all times complies to ISO 9001 requirements.
• Ensure that the Fabrication division develops maintains and constantly improves its relationship with key third party sub-contractors and JV partners as required to deliver the service.
• Defines and elaborates the scope of work for external contracting and in-house execution for all phases of the work.
• Delivers excellence in all divisional metric including, HSE, quality, cost and schedule performance
• Manages the Fabrication division P&L 

• At least 20 years’ experience of oil and gas multi-discipline fabrication and construction projects execution. 
• A minimum of at least 5 years in the position of the full operation of a large fabrication yard.
• Must have significant experience at a senior level within a medium sized company having delivered to Blue Chip clients or a blue chip organization with specific accountabilities in integrated fabrication yard operations and the associated financial and commercial management of the yard.
• Experience of International based assignments with demonstrable evidence of being able to mentor other nationals effectively and be committed to mentoring locals.

EPC Fabrication & Construction Site Manager at GE Oil & Gas

The Fabrication & Construction Site Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
- Directly responsible for site operations on Projects including site management, technical advisory services, Field execution performance (quality, schedule, EHS & Cost), customer Net Promoter Score (NPS). This includes from the proposal phase through installation, commissioning until final acceptance, on assigned extended scope projects

- Responsible to develop field execution strategies, site staffing estimates, customer/ constructor meetings, and tender documents

- Oversees the subcontracting process, pre-qualifications, and commercial structure; bid packages, negotiation through final award

- Review and critique Fabrication Site Mobilization and Site Execution plan

- Fabrication Site Mobilization including arrangements for Accommodation & offices for fabrication site team(s)

- Management of the Site Construction team including holiday roster/rotation etc.

- Create, issue and update the Site Execution Plan

- Convene formal kick-off meeting including HSE kick-off for the SCT and Sub-contractors

- Ensure compliance with Quality and Health, Environment and Safety requirements by SCT and Subcontractor as being a Key factor in the success of the project

- Supervise the construction and testing of manifolds at Site in accordance with the project and site execution plan

- Responsible for the delivering the MCS work scope including associated documentation to the project schedule.

- Scheduling and prioritizing equipment completion per milestones plan and scheduled completion dates

- Liaise with engineering organization for support with respect to technical queries and timely problem resolution.

- Local implementation of all plans and procedures and in particular Fabrication Site Plans/Procedures.

- Report back to MCS Team, including the MCS PM and SCM, with respect to schedule adherence, progress, input to KPI's, weekly and monthly reporting requirements

- Liaise with SIT/installation manager with regards to preparation for SIT at site.
Convene and chair FAT/EFAT test readiness reviews ensuring the involvement of the HSE Manager.

- Local management of on-site QA Support ensuring initiation, communication and management of clear system of punch list control

- Liaise with Logistics and Materials Management to assist in expediting and customs clearances.

- Review and critique the Field Materials Management and Warehousing Plan.

- Execute the Field Materials Management and Warehousing Plan assuring materials and finished goods storage compliance

- Ensure robust systems in place for Goods Receiving Inspection and Damage Reporting for inter-company shipments

- Implement the work site security Plan and ensure the work site is secure

- Ensure Weekly MEL Data Updates are provided to MEL/EDL Administrator

- Ensure documentation is deliverable in accordance with the Supplier Documentation List.

- Ensure major GRR's that impact delivered equipment are raised without delay and expedited through the system to resolution

- Be familiar with the customer complaint system and how to initiate a complaint when necessary
