Hamilton Lloyd and Associates - Our client is a leading distributor of electronics in West Africa with branches all over Nigeria and have over 1000 employees. Due to internal expansion in their Lagos branch, they have decided to hire a Warehouse officer.

Job Title: Warehouse Officer

Location:
Lagos

Job Summary:
Warehouse officers are required to manage a team of approximately 20 people involved in all aspects of stock ordering and management for the entire warehouse.

Responsibilities


Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met Communicating with other departments Fulfilling objectives and directions from the senior management of the company Day to day senior point of contact for all suppliers and responsible for management of supplier relationships. Negotiation of key supplier contracts (with support from senior management for large key accounts) Identification of alternative sources of supply for all stock items to ensure no over reliance on any supplier(s) Oversee purchasing function to ensure efficient levels of stocks being maintained no overstocking, no stock out Oversee accurate receipting of all goods into stock, including verification of delivery notes and updating of livestock system. Timely notification of any pending stock shortages to key departments.


Qualification:
Education/Experience:
Degree in a relevant course 2-4 years relevant experience on the job.


 


2) Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Location:
Lagos

Responsibilities:


Oversee management of items whilst in stock to protect against damage, theft, losses, etc Oversee accurate issuing of items from stock to production Ensuring quality objectives are met. Responsible for regular cycle counts of all stock items and investigation of variances Responsible for monthly full stock take and investigation of variances. Coordinating the use of automated and computerized systems Keeping stock control systems up to date Planning future capacity requirements Producing regular reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis Briefing team supervisors on a daily basis Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.


Key Specification:


Must be able to have attention to detail and work to tight timescales as this is a busy department. Must be required to have a thorough approach to your work as this department is a key area. Must be able to lead and influence a team to achieve organizational objectives. Must have a thorough understanding of computerized stock control systems (Very essential)


Qualification:

Education/Experience:
Must have a degree or its equivalent. Min of 5-7 years experience in a similar role at a Management level.
