The American University of Nigeria, Yola, is seeking a Permanent Head of Fleet Management and Repairs. This position is a multi-national one; Open to both National and Non-national of Nigeria.

Summary of Position:
The position of the Head of Transport is to contribute to the effective operational functions of the Transport Unit in accordance with AUN Policy and procedure. He/she will be responsible for development and operation of a modern mechanical workshop, driver management, and fleet management including fuel controls. Providing efficient fleet services so as to contribute to achieving set goals & objectives, manages AUN fleet operation & repairs to include vehicle maintenance, replacement, equipment repair and maintenance programs involving modern mechanical workshop and managing the planning, procurement and vehicle buildup processes to provide emergency and support vehicles for all AUN fleet operations.
Position Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Transportation, Logistics, Administration, Management or other related field. At least 3 years work experience in handling professional transport operations (Fleet size 50+ vehicles). Experience in dealing with control of fuel and vehicles in Nigeria is a plus Strong organizational and logistics skills. Expert level competence with MS Office and database applications Demonstrated knowledge of inventory and controls. Strong communication skills
