The American University of Nigeria, Yola, is seeking a Permanent Appliance Technician. This position is a local position and opens to indigenous and/or legal residents of Nigeria.
Job Title: Appliance Technician
Location: Yola, Adamawa
Summary of Position:
Appliance Technician will be responsible for keeping appliances running smoothly in AUN facilities. Some of his/her duties include installing, maintaining and repairing various types of appliances like washing machine, pressing iron, micro wave, cloth drier, etc. In addition to performing repair work, appliance technicians also do warranty checks for appliance.
Position Requirements: Must have relevant trade test. At least 2 years' experience. Must possess problem solving skills, strong digital and analogue skills, ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner. Must have experience using the following equipment: DVM, oscilloscopes, recorders, hand tools, such as soldering irons, hand crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers. Advanced training in Appliance theory such as one would receive at a technical trade school, military training or multiple years of on the job training is a plus. Appliance fabrication abilities a plus.
