Warehouse Manager

Reporting to the Material & Logistics Manager, the purpose of this role is to manage the warehouse function on a day to day basis, ensuring all operations and services are delivered safely, cost effectively and in a timely manner.

To implement the Company’s Centralization of Warehousing Strategy.To lead by example to ensure Health & Safety of the Warehouse staff.To be the ‘on site’ lead, giving ‘on the job’ training by sharing his or her experience to the benefit of junior personnel, with particular attention to identifying, supporting, and mentoring locally recruited talent; expediting their personal growth and abilities to accept greater responsibility in line with Corporate Strategy.To act as responsible person for the day to day running of the Main Warehousing function, Satellite Stores, and External / Yard laydown area at SI, providing reliable logistics support to the Engineering & Project functions, Line Managers, and to other SI foremen and team members.  Whilst coordinating stores activities, to liaise with other departments to ensure that scheduling of receipts, issues, & administration of stores and stock is carried out reliably in the Company & Client’s interest. To effect and adhere to Company, industry and job specific procedures and standards; as well as ensuring compliance by sub-ordinates and team members.To act in accordance with Company’s HSE and QMS best practices at all times, projecting a professional attitude as an example to subordinates and trainees.To provide overall leadership to a team of plus 30 personnel and ensure compliance to policies and procedures.To maintain perpetual inventory control by ensuring that Receiving and Issuing of goods are done in timely and accurate manner.Execute Perpetual Inventory accuracy via Cycle Counting as well as the utilization of the ERP system.With the support of the Assistance/Deputy Warehouse manager, and in conjunction with P&SCM line, to represent and maintain processes as well as planned improvements within the Warehouse/s; translating strategic objectives to practical working processes/action.

Prime Responsibilities and Duties

To witness first had various tasks and assign a real time duration for said tasks.In line with Project Requirements, cooperate with other stakeholders to ensure that Customer storage requirements are met in a timely and reliable manner; and, that such services are at all times provided safely and in line with Company Standards.The Warehouse Manager must ensure compliance to Company QMS, Environment Management System and Occupational Health and Safety Management System within ‘day to day’ operations.Effective implementation and management of Warehousing routines to ensure perpetual inventory control aided by the use of cycle counting and other necessary perpetual inventorying monitoring and control methodologies.To coordinate with key personnel within the Company & Client Departments, other stakeholders, and third party suppliers to arrange and schedule cargo for delivery to support SI operations.To coordinate and control supplies and equipment, either procured locally or internationally, and to ensure that materials are received, recorded, held / stored and issued are preserved and protected, in keeping with industry standards and ‘best practice’, and accounted for fully both in writing and in related ERP System Tools.To assist in the identification of future material requirements for Warehouse Equipment and Stock replenishment, and to initiate and administer the appropriate processes to ensure the timeliness of replenishment and re-supply.Supported by the Stores Controllers and Administration Assistants, to arrange the necessary maintenance and repairs as required of all office and warehouse equipment. To ensure good housekeeping standards within own areas of responsibility.To supervise as necessary the loading and unloading of materials to and from suppliers and customers.  By the utilization of high levels of supervisory skills resolve disagreements and disputes between drivers (incl. 3rd party), Forklift Trucks / cranes, and base crews. Operational demands such as (but not limited to) Stop work if at any time considered to be unsafe.Make changes to Warehouse daily work plan when alternate priorities are identified.Direct and allocate use of warehouse transport (LGV / Forklift trucks etc.)Accept or reject cargo where they are non-compliant or are inadequately preparedAuthorization of and  Signing for Materials Issues, Transfers, delivery Receipts, and other administrative processes within limits of Authority set within process guidance and QMS system.Accountable to the M&L Manager for the day to day performance of his/her duties and functions.Accountable upwards within the P&SCM line to demonstrate commitment to and support of Corporate Business and Strategic Objectives.Key internal interface with Acetech Procurement Company in Dubai, ND Procurement, ND Logistics, ND Material Control, ND Finance team’ ND Support department Stakeholders and Project department Stakeholders.Diploma or Degree – Supply Chain Management or equivalent level, demonstrated through life experience, career training, and work experience.Broad knowledge and experience of general Warehouse administrative functions and duties.Senior supervisory / junior management experience in a stores operations and administrative function, preferably in Engineering or an ‘Oil & Gas’ background.The incumbent must have an excellent working knowledge of cargo handling, storage, and securing practices, and standards – they must have a wide range of experience and exposure to best practices to ensure that quality controls are in place and being observed and maintained.Broad understanding of warehouse working practices, including materials handling operations.Working knowledge of HSE Policies, Procedures and Systems, and proven commitment to delivery of the same.Must demonstrate a mature attitude, able to deal with day to day ‘man management’ issues firmly, fairly, and without prejudice or bias.Demonstrate a commitment to support the training and advancement of the junior staff in the company’s interest.Must be able to manage Warehouse transport (LGV’s / FLT’s etc.), ensuring they are properly controlled, maintained, and utilized safely and effectively at all times, in line with company procedures.Be PC literate and be able to utilize spreadsheets, employed ERP and presented E-mail systems effectively.Ability to communicate to workforce and day to day interfaces, internally and externally.Strong understanding of material handling best practices.Clear Spoken and Written English.Apply Now
