Account Manager - Sales

·Reporting to Manager Sales, you will be responsible to achieve profitable sales revenue to an agreed target for a sales territory and/or portfolio of clients. Promote the Etihad brand, products and services through the primary distribution channels available and negotiating and account manage commercial agreements with top national accounts.

Responsibilities              

Achieve the set revenue, yield and volume targets by zone.Complete, submit and agree weekly call plan of sales activity. To be signed off by Senior Management  2 working days ahead of following weekComplete and execute individual account development plans for top 20% of agents. Use of SFA tools to track account details as well as MIDT and BOSS to measure performanceEnsure territory activity is within agreed cost of sale targets. Agree to work within budgets and in best commercial interests of Etihad AirwaysImplement sales territory marketing plan to agreed activity. Return on Investment measured after each execution, revenue to exceed cost 10:1All sales activity to be recorded in SFA data base. Activity to be recorded weekly and signed off by SMSales calls to focus on top 20% of agents/corporate. Activity to be signed off weekly on sales calls that generate 80% of revenueMIDT to be used to plan sales objectives. Market share to be monitored monthly and target to be exceeded per agent

Requirements  

Qualifications and Education:

·     Educated to degree level or equivalent

Experience:

·     Five years airline or travel industry experience with a minimum of 2 years in a sales role

Training:

·     Negotiation and Sales techniques

·     Presentation skills

·     Account Development Planning

·     MIDT, Sales Force Automation systems

·     Reservations and Ticketing

Knowledge:

·     Good written and oral English language skills

·     Ability to work under pressure and to short lead times.

·     Self starter with strong planning, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

·     Good analytical skills to make positive use of broad range of data and information.

·     Good PC skills include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet.

The Individual    Must have the right to live and work in Nigeria.

Requirements
University degree, preferably in business administration, excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written. Minimum 10 years airline experience, including 5 years at management level with a proven track record in airline sales, marketing, reservations & revenue management processes
Excellent management skills, process & people management
You should have cultural awareness, preferably from working in multiple & across cultural groups.
You must have ability to communicate & negotiate diplomatically & successfully at the highest levels of Government & Civil Aviation organizations
A vocational training to complement the above mentioned qualifications, education & experience
Fluency in in English is mandatory
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities shall include but not limited to:

Meet & exceed revenue & profitability targets, maximizing sector & network revenue & yield and focusing on achieving optimum route profitability.
Ensure sales and marketing resources, call patterns and areas of focus are those with the highest incremental revenue and profit.
Ensure all sales distribution channels are fully exploited to Etihad’s benefit
Develop and implement sales & marketing strategies that ensure key revenue, cost and profitability targets are met, with a level playing field for selling partners.
Develop and maintain effective brand positioning and brand equity, in line with Etihad’s aim to be a high quality and unique airline.
Collect, collate, feedback and act upon market intelligence.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the travel trade, corporate, guests, governments, ministries, etc.
Motivate, coach and lead the commercial team to exceed targets
