Reinsurance Manager
Job Description:
Developing reinsurance strategies in line with overall objectives of the CompanyDrive origination and acquisition of all new reinsurance business for the CompanyDevelop and maintain good relationships with various influencers and decision-makers needed to acquire businessEnsuring compliance of all reinsurance placements with NAICOM guidelinesEnsuring that our reinsurance strategiesmeet the objectives of our clientsEvaluating individual reinsurance placements and advising on alternative strategiesReviewing all placing information and documentationfor accuracyPreparing presentations, proposals and post-placement reports as required Managing overall relationships with cedants and reinsurersMaintaining an up to date database of reinsurers and their financial ratingsPreparing and presenting the annual budget for the Reinsurance departmentConducting annual review and updating of the procedural manual for the Reinsurance departmentStaying abreast of developments that might impact the business of the Company and keep all relevant parties up to dateAny other duties assigned by the Head of TechnicalPresentation of regular reportsRequirements
A smart, experienced and result-driven professionalGood communicator with adept negotiation and interpersonal skillsGraduate with minimum 2nd class lower/lower creditAt least 4 years’experience in a similar roleIn-depth knowledge of all insurance productsExperience in energy and marine insurance essentialMust be a chartered insurerMethod of Application
