Orlean Invest started operating in 1988 and celebrated its Silver jubilee in October 2013. Orlean Invest is Nigeria's largest free zone oil and gas logistics provider and provides her many clients with vital infrastructure and logistical support in a safe working environment.
Development through continuous investment has been the core driver of the company since its inception and now Orlean Invest is transferring the success it has at Onne to other projects across Nigeria such as Badagry Mega port, Eko Energy Estate in Lagos and Abuja Hills Estate to name but a few of the on-going developments.
The HR Adviser is responsible for the recruitment and talent services for the various business units within the Orlean Group. This will include involvement in international and national recruitment processes and activities and ensuring best practice is adhered to and management of development programmes including graduate, high potential and management programmes as well as working with managers to ensure succession planning.
The Senior HR Adviser shall:
Oversee and Manage the Recruitment Officer and help to co-ordinate all group related recruitment activitiesAssist in developing a Centre of Excellence for RecruitmentTo ensure unified, consistent and standard recruitment processes and policies across the businessDesign and develop key developmental programmes including high potential and management programmesEnsure Linked IN platform is utilised and managed as effectively as possible by the various business unitsAdvise Managers of key HR processes and policies and support them in finding an effective outcomeProvide support with designing and developing compensation and benefits analysisProvide support with designing and developing reward and recognition programmesWork closely with the HR Admin team to ensure streamlined processes across the businessWork closely with the Orlean Academy and hiring managers to ensure effective on-boarding processes are created and maintained across the business
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIOSN AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree – minimum 2:1 or equivalent qualificationsCIPD or equivalent in HR5 -7 years minimum experience in HRPrevious experience in a management roleSignificant experience in an international setting – including outside country of origin.
Candidates with experience in only one country will NOT be consideredSignificant experience in a corporate multi-sited organisationIdeally a generalist that would like to specialise in recruitment and talent
Technical Skills
1/Excellent ability to ensure practical solutions to HR matters are defined and implemented and communicated across an international business
2/Excellent ability to design, develop effective graduate programmes that are aligned to business outcomes
3/Excellent ability to design practical solutions for succession planning and pipelining talent
4/Ability to work with a range of attraction and selection methods, e.g. Assessment centres / skype interviews, psychometric tests, online tests
5/Excellent ability to use Linked IN platform as effectively as possible
6/Good relationships with local and national recruitment agencies (or ability to develop these)
7/Understands UK employment legislation in reference to recruitment and able to develop policies and procedures that comply
8/Excellent ability in Excel and Word
9/Previous experience with compensation and benefits
