Contract Position

Job Objectives:
Guarantee the accomplishment of the drilling and/or completion and/or work-over operations, in compliance with company codes of practice, safety and environmental protection while optimising operations and logistics on rig site.
Ensure the suitability to operational requirements of personnel, equipment and services.
Contribute to the return on Exploration & Production investments, through a continual search for improving equipment, services and operational procedures

Job Description:
HSE
- RSES/RSES-D on site
- Ensure the respect of safety and environment rules.
- Safeguard integrity of company’s asset
- Flag downgraded situations and propose corrective actions
- Periodically organizes drills and assesses readiness of the rig to cope with emergency situations.
- Organizes and leads actions on HSE awareness issues.
- Manages the different HSE actions plans.
- Ascertain that personnel working on the rig are familiar with and have understood the HSE reference documents, and to check their training, qualifications and accreditations.
- HSE reporting: notification and analysis of any incident or anomaly, with constant concern for transparency.
- Coordinate necessary meetings between company service companies and rig contractors

Operations
- Review company operations programs
- Supervise execution and follow-up of company drilling and completion operations
- Compose and review company operating procedures
- Personally supervise delicate or risky operations
- Optimize operations in relation with engineering, geology and reservoir entities
- Optimize rig equipment in relation with company contractors
- Analyze instantaneous Mud logging data and other drilling parameters and take appropriate actions in case of abnormal trend
- Anticipate potential problems and plan alternative strategies
- Anticipate equipment and service needs
- Optimize the activities of service providers and assess their performance
- Participate in operational decisions
- Validate all rig based reports and calculations required for some specific drilling and completion operations of the company
- Ensure reliability of operational information (DDRs, cost follow-up sheets, etc)
- Perform post operational debriefings and prepare report on lessons learnt.
- Participate in the production of technical and operational syntheses
- Contribute to the drilling and completion improvement plan
- Coordinate supply of equipment & services to the company rig in relation with the Superintendent
- Coordinate mob/demob and transportation of compny personnel to the rig site

Administration
- In charge of the day to day running of the rig
- Participate in the training of company junior staff
- Contribute to the improvement of skills and the know-how
- Participate in evaluating job holders
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
• Initial formal education/diplomas: Technical Diploma
• Professional experience of more than 10 years as a Drilling and Completion Supervisor (MANDATORY previous experience of at least 10 years on Jack-ups)
• Good knowledge of Offshore and Onshore drilling operation, in particular jack-up activities.
• Previous experience offshore Nigeria will be an advantage
• Experienced in simultaneous drilling and production and construction works
• Previous experience with company as a Drilling & Completion Supervisor with good references will be an advantage
• Previous experience with company with bad references will be a show-stopper
• Fluent in English, French will be an advantage
• MANDATORY Trainings / HSE qualification certificates:
o IWCF valid for at least 6 months
o BOSIET valid for at least 6 months
o Fire Fighting

Under the responsibility of the Vendor QC Coordinator (reporting line) based in SQY and the IMS Construction Superintendent, the Material/Welding Engineer shall supervise and validate with UFR Contractor/Subcontractor all Material and welding engineering activities either for structure or piping (STR or PLR disciplines) in all Out-of Country vendor sites and at IMS fabrication yard in Italy.

Will be in charge of:

Reviewing all relevant Engineering / Qualification / Manufacturing / Fabrication / Testing documents for the IMS yard throughout construction phase and for all other Out Country Vendor procurement activities as may be assigned.
This includes typically material selection/specifications, corrosion issues, welding procedures, welding qualifications, testing procedures, ITP, technical reports, etc.
Assisting in the resolution of interface issues as necessary
Assisting in analysis of UFR Contractor Site technical queries/deviation requests/concession requests and preparation of comments and proposed answers to these Site queries.
Providing technical assistance and relevant quality controls during site construction
Reporting to the Site Superintendent Construction / Vendor QC Coordinator on a regular basis, and to Project’s

Management upon request:

Proposing technical solutions / way forward with respect to materials and welding technical issues in case of unexpected difficulties during the fabrication and manufacturing with the help of Engineering Team based in Lagos.
Getting assistance from Company Specialists, or third parties, if required, for specific topics.
Ensuring that Contractors / Subcontractors perform Welding inspection activities on site in accordance with company standards.

Service Description:

Project requirements, specified acceptance criteria and the contracted scope of work.
Reviewing and monitoring welding activities executed by the EGINA UFR Contractor, Subcontractors &
Suppliers on site.
Assisting and providing all necessary help to close CAR, NCR occurred during the site construction.

HSE

To ensure that an effective implementation of HSEQ requirements is applied, as appropriate at site.
To demonstrate evidence of his relationship to safety with clear communication on site about commitment to safety.
To ensure that risk assessment prior to starting of a new activity is properly conducted and understood by personnel involved
To continuously assess safety behaviour of personnel and intervene with a pro-active approach explaining and coaching.
To take every opportunity at site to communicate with workforce about safety, listening on difficulties, sharing his/her own experience and proposing applicable solutions.
To be involved in incident investigation and follow-up actions implementation
Participate in safety tours and visits on site defined by UFR.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Reports directly to UFR Vendor QC Coordinator in SQY and also to the IMS Construction Superintendent.
Work closely with NDE and Welding inspector.
Directly responsible for follow up on site to see that all construction activities are done in full compliance with General Specifications and International codes as well as good industry practices regarding material and welding aspects.
Accountable for the proper implementation of Project Technical requirements (Project Specifications)

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Welding Engineer with 10 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Industries.
Graduate of Welding Engineering (or equivalent).
International Welding Engineering certification.
Good knowledge of international design codes / standards and COMPANY general specifications (TEC/STR and TEC/PLR).
Knowledge in corrosion aspects.
Team oriented, good communication, motivational, coordination and delegation skills.
Fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of the Italian Language will be an added advantage

Senior Geologist

Job Objective

? Ensures that the Asset team’s geological studies and operations are performed safely, timely and within budget.
? Performs detailed reservoir geology review, analysis and modelling of all reservoirs in existing fields and un-appraised discoveries. Geological contribution to field development and appraisal planning and drilling. Contributory responsibility for all production geological and exploration activities.
? Supervises mentors, motivates and competently develops junior staff.
? Ensures adherence to government statutory regulations in all matters relating to geological activities.

Job Duties
? Carries out all geological work required for the timely execution of designated projects in an efficient and cost effective manner, according to agreed technical specifications and standards. The scope and schedule of activities is to be agreed with the Asset Manager and updated in bi-weekly progress reviews.
? Develops scenario based geological models and realisations, incorporating relevant aspects of other disciplines to support field reviews, field development plans and ongoing drilling activities for the purpose of maximising hydrocarbon recovery by identifying in-fill and development opportunities.
? Identifies and evaluates infill and appraisal upside potential in designated projects and provides fully descriptive geological static models for well planning purposes and for use in dynamic simulation. Consults and interact with other disciplines as appropriate for the optimisation of interpretations, models, plans and reports.
? Applies rigorous data management procedures.
? Prepares detailed well proposals according to the schedule in consultation with colleagues
? Provides technical / operational advice while drilling, whilst maintaining up-to-date well progress data, subsurface maps and geological data.
? Measures progress against the schedule at regular bi-weekly reviews.
? Participates in formation evaluation contract strategy and contract bids to ensure the most cost effective and technically sound approach is adopted.
? Identifies areas where the acquisition of additional data would be an economic method of reducing geological risks and uncertainties.
? Develops well-integrated depositional environments to support 3D geological modelling.
? Actively participates in coring and coring evaluation and description activities and supervises contractors.
? Provides necessary technical support to, and to interface with, colleagues in other disciplines in the Technical Department.
? Provides functional advice and quality control to operational and study geologists.
? Provides mentoring to less experienced staff as appropriate.
? Participate in Operational Duties outside office hours.

Requirements:
? Masters Degree in Geology or relevant subject.
? Minimum of ten years experience in production geology, including exposure to well site operations, petrophysics, seismic interpretation, formation evaluation, reservoir engineering and geological modelling.
? The ability to communicate well and get along well with other team members and functional peers, the ability to work independently within an integrated team and the willingness to seek guidance when needed are essential.
? Clear and effective decision making is required and rapid response is a necessity to many operational, and drilling issues that arise.
