JOB SUMMARY

The role of the  Head of  Unit Strategy and Analysis will develop and deliver tactical business development plans, and income generation and awareness  for the organization. He/She will also help to raise the firms profile by defining and managing new  and sustainable practices.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Developing actionable strategies that create measurable long-term value for the organization Ensure all budgeting and follow up of project costs and negotiation of contracts is completed.Working with other Senior Management  executives to establish a framework for sustained innovation and growth.Set timetable and process for review of the strategic plan, and advise on redevelopment in the run up to the next strategic period.Ensuring strategic plans are working effectively and that the company will remain competitive in the industry.Effectively communicating the businesses strategic objectives with senior management to drive the business forward.Providing high level strategic, planning and policy advice to the Group Managing Director, Executive management team and Board on all matters affecting the future business operations, capacity and sustainability of the services provided by the organization.Develop, direct and control the strategic and operational planning frameworks and planning outcomes for the organization in the short, medium and long term.Assisting the Group Managing Director and the Executive Management Team to execute approved corporate strategies.Construction and implementation of comprehensive digital strategies for a range of clients.Lead the business development and marketing team and own the production of all written sales collateral, writing proposals and pitch documents.Improve the business by identifying business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, risks and threats.Would utilize the use of project and program management skills to lead teams in assessing strategic planning projects.Initiate and manage existing and potential strategic corporate and media relationships, together with the Executive Director.Qualifications A degree in business/management related fieldPost Graduate Degree and /or Professional Qualification

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

1. "Planning and budgeting cycle

Actively participate in the preparation of ASP, LEs and OL cycles by:

- Preparing and, after review, submitting the Volume & Financial data to WECA Mgt in an accurate & timely manner (financial model update).

- Performing data loads into MESSA planning tool (TM1) and ensuring reconciliation to Model,

- Populating PMM Decks and CFO Briefs and preparing related roadmaps (Var anlysis),

2. "Financial reporting (monthly Actuals)

- Prepare monthly Volume and Financial CFO Briefs for the Finance Mgr review.

- Prepare variance analysis of the gross margin (price/cost, volume, mix) for completion of CFO Brief roadmaps.

- Prepare ad-hoc answers/analysis to address JTI Finance or Market Mgt inquiries (WECA, MESSA, MENEAT).

3. "Local Management Reporting

In cooperation with Entity Finance and under supervision of the Finance Mgr:

- participate into the development and preparation of a monthly Local Mgt Report,

- participate in the establishment of Marketing Expenditure Report by Brand / Project.

- particpate in the development and preparation of monthly OPEX reporting (by Function & P&L line)."

4. "Internal controls - Policies & procedures

Actively participate in the development and continuous improvement of local Policy & Procedure as assigned by the Finance Mgr:

- in own field of responsability (FP&A)

- in other Finance and Cross Functional areas (Marketing, Logistic, etc) as part of the project team."

5. "Others

- Prepare ad-hoc Financial Analysis & Simulation as may be required (for BAP/Memo, ITR, etc)

- Assist Entity Finance team during Month-End closing & Reporting as may be necessary, and act as substitute if required.

- Particpate in the continuous enhancement of the local Accounting/Financial system (Navision)

Qualifications :

Education:

University Degree in Finance & Accounting; Accounting Qualification is required or in process.

Work Experience:

Min 2 to 3 years in a similar position & international environment or in an external audit firm.

Skills:

Fluent in English is a must. SAP R/3 and BI tools knowledge is a plus.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:

"- Excellent knowledge of Financial & Management Accounting, IFRS, Tax accounting,

Child Rights Situation Analysis for Education-Consultancy

Job Description
The proposed Situation analysis is to focus on the likely causes of poor quality of and inadequate access to education. The analysis will describe the current situation, examine the likely immediate and underlying causes of poor quality and inadequate access from the perspective of formal and informal education, and place the analysis within the context of gender, power and influence stall levels of the Nigerian society

Objective
The situation analysis will provide a review of relevant data collected within the last 10 years (2005-2014) on the education situation of children aged 0 to 18 years in Nigeria and place it within the context of children’s rights to identify why those rights are not being achieved. The focus of the analysis is on access, equity and quality as an outcome.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree in Education, Social Science or similar subject;Previous experience in development of analytical reports and policy documents related to Education;Significant research experience with proven record of publications;Ability to synthesize and analyze large amounts of information combining quantitative and qualitative data;Understanding and knowledge of the Nigeria social policy context;Excellent written English;Knowledge of a human rights based approach to programmes, and preferably experience with preparation of a Child Rights Situation Analysis is desirable
