ROLE OVERVIEW
The Delivery Manager will have overall responsibility for delivery operations in the Nigerian offices. They will be responsible for meeting the targets for the business unit in terms of profit, revenue, cash and utilisation. The Delivery Manager will also be responsible for capability and capacity planning of the department, including line management of the engineering, project management and service functions of the business.
JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Line management for Delivery team including appraisal, training, administrative control and skills profiling. Motivate, develop and evaluate assigned personnel and to advise on salary plans and other employee benefit programs. Working with the HR partner(s) to assist in the interview and selection of staff.Setting and communicating overall project strategy, to ensure compliance with customer requirements, maximisation of project margins, scope growth and most effective utilisation of engineering resources. Evaluate current and future workload and proactively work to optimise resource assignment utilisation.Develop strategies for meeting/exceeding in-country requirements such as local content. Manage succession planning and development of high-potential staff. Develop skills matrices and define future requirements to set training requirements.Work closely with HR partner(s) to manage Union relations.Technically and commercially lead the teams. Coordinate and lead the Service function including Service Level Agreements, break-fix and upgrade work.Support to Senior Management in the development and introduction of new or revised practices, tools or policies.
